Hello and welcome to
the first Wyenot Blog of 2013. Rather late in the year I
know but better late than never, I guess. There are many
reasons why Wyenot News has not been regularly updated,
however, I shall not bore you with the details. I can only
apologize and tell you that from now, Wyenot News will be
updated each week, even if it is simply an updated blog.
2nd June saw the second anniversary of Alan's passing; a
day I was dreading. I know that many of you still miss him,
a lot, as I do. I spent most of the day with my two sons,
then caught up with a few old friends of mine and Alan's.
At the end of the day, I resolved to carry on with Wyenot
News, doing as much as I can to keep it as interesting and
informative as it always has been.
of the friends I met last Sunday was Nick Stephens who has
started a new business venture, Bistro Mondo in High Street.
went along there last Thursday evening to find out more
about it and took some photographs which can be seen on
the news page. I wish Nick and his team every success.
May Fayre this year was a resounding success. I managed
to fit in two hours of stewarding at the Y-Zone on the day,
then picked up my camera to take a few shots of the event
before enjoying a manically busy day of work at the Eagle
are lots of events happening this year and I hope to be
able to keep you informed of them all, including important
news of Ross Rocks! and Broome Farm Cider Festival. I do
hope the weather continues to be kind to us after the awful
summer of last year so that the events taking place will
be well supported.
hope that you will forgive the lack of Wyenot News during
the past twelve months and hope that you will once again
enjoy reading updates on a regular basis.
a great week!
