the hair raising or rather, money raising event at the Hope
& Anchor, I went along to a friend's 18th birthday party
which was being held at the Mighty 8 Pool Club. Ryan Dobbs
and his friend, Tom Knight shared the party at the club
where lots of friends and relatives turned up to help the
two young men to celebrate.
disco provided some great dance music for the party, and
for kids of all ages, there was a mechanical rodeo bull
to enjoy. I kind of got my arm twisted into having a go
via Ryan looking at me, saying, 'You have to have a go.
It is my birthday. . .' So, on I climbed and almost
immediately, off I fell as the wicked Gareth Holdsworth
turned the speed up, to much laughter from everybody.
all enjoyed some great food before Ryan's birthday surprise
arrived in the form of a strip-o-gram. He was speechless
to say the least and continued to thoroughly enjoy his party,
whilst I moved on to my next job. This next assignment took
me to the Princwe of Wales where the fabulous Broome Cupboard
Blues Band were performing. I made it there on foot with
literally 12 bars to spare!
