Christmas lights were officially switched on at 5.30 on
Friday evening by Ross Mayor, Councillor Jo Lane following
an hour of Christmas entertainment at Ross Market House
which was provided by Ross Town Band, the Y-zone group '2Faced'
and members of the scouting group. Timing the switch-on
for all of the lights about town would have been an impossible
task to co-ordinate and so just those on the market building
itself were switched on by the Mayor.

and many shops in town have added to the display by decorating
their own premises. More will be added to the display as
we approach the Christmas period and will make Ross a welcoming
place to visit for seasonal shopping.
