John Kyrle Christmas Celebration at St. Mary's

St Mary's Parish Church was packed by a congregation of Teachers, students, parents and friends of John Kyrle High School who celebrated Christmas with a carol service during the evening of Monday, 18th December.

As well as singing traditional Christmas Carols, the congregation enjoyed listening to a performance of 'Winter' from Vivaldi's Four Seasons, performed by the school's string group and Christmas music performed by the School Choir. Readings from Charles Dickens, John Betjemen and Clement Clark Moore were given.

Nature Watch

I took this distant photograph of a Heron fishing on the River Wye on the morning of Christmas Eve while dropping Tina at work. It is a little distant as it was on the opposite bank of the river by the White Lion at Wilton.
