This Week: [Wilton Castle - Community Hospital] [Topical Photography - Nature Watch] [More Photography - Archive Ross]

Topical Photography This Week
It has been one of those weeks during which I have taken literally hundreds of photographs. I cannot possibly put them all on these pages, so I have selected just a few. This week's 'Topical Photography' is continued on the next page.

Above: A brilliant performance by Blues Matters recording artists, Sons of the Delta - Mark Cole and Rick Edwards at the Hope & Anchor on Friday 25th February. I worked with Mark and we became friends during the bad old days of my many years at 'The Office'. Great to see you again Mark!

Below: Ross Rotary Club cheque presentations by President, Jim Stewart at the Royal Hotel on Monday 21st February to Marion Campbell of Ross creative Learning Centre and Anne Grosvenor of the Prince's Trust.

A Quiz Night at John Kyrle High School in aid of the on going Kisiki College project in Uganda was held during the evening of Friday, 25th February.

A rare opportunity to take a photograph from an unusual angle. The Royal Hotel, photographed from the battlements of Wilton Castle, using a telephoto lens on Thursday 24th February 2005.

Wild Iris aka fleur-de-lis: Although not exactly a stunning photograph, I photographed this rare wild iris at Wilton on Thursday, 24th February.

I am not currently certain how rare it is as I cannot find this particular iris in my 'Collins book of Wild Flowers'. I am certainly surprised to see it flowering in February. The plants were laying horizontally, as if flattened by the rain.

I intend to keep an eye on this one to see how it develops.
