Festival Season in Ross-on-Wye . . . Unintentional Festival 2004

The afternoon of Sunday 15th August saw the first Ross-on-Wye Unintentional Festival performance for 2004, with Explosive Nzacomba performing live at the market house. The Unintentional Festival began at the last minute in 2002, due to the cancellation of the International Festival at the time. This festival proved to be such a success that it has returned for its third year in 2004. The events of the Unintentional Festival will take place at various venues in and around Ross-on-Wye town centre, culminating in a three day Grand Finale over the August Bank Holiday weekend which will take place in the gardens of the Hope & Anchor.

. . . Ross-on-Wye International Festival

Ross-on-Wye International Festival opened on Friday 13th August. The wet weather that evening did nothing to keep the crowds away as they lined the streets to watch the colourful opening parade named, 'Metamorphosis.' This array of ants, butterflies and a huge green caterpillar made its way to the festival site at the Rope Walk, the parade then ending with a firework display.
