Wyenot
is not just another
Ross-on-Wye web site!
With
an average of one page being viewed every 14 seconds, every
single minute of every day - 365 days per year, Wyenot.com
- which includes 'Wyenot News' is certainly the most visited
and used community website and weekly news medium in Ross-on-Wye
and the Wye Valley!
Wyenot
is the tourism, news and advertising medium which really works
for Ross-on-Wye and the local area and has been boosting the
local economy since December 2000!

WHAT
THOSE WHO ALREADY USE THE SERVICE HAVE TO SAY:
Judy
at 'The White House' and 'Anchor Lodge' guest houses:
'I
am absolutely thrilled with the response I get from Wyenot.com
readers. The level of business emanating from the Wyenot.com
site is fantastic and the return for my advertising fee has
proved to be my best marketing budget spend this year. It's
great to have such a good return for ourselves and to know
it's helping to support all the other community services that
Wyenot.com's Alan and Tina provide for all of us. I will certainly
continue to use Wyenot.com to promote our businesses. It really
works.'
Jacqui
and Dave Newman at the White Lion Inn:
'We
have been using Wyenot.com for over two years now. The business
generated through this site has boosted our enquires by over
80%, no other form of advertising has achieved this. Working
with Alan and Tina on our advertisements is so easy, they
very helpful and have a wealth of knowledge regarding the
local area. I would strongly recommend anyone not currently
listed with them to do so immediately as its value for money
is unsurpassed.'
Nick
and Angie Stephens of Rose Cotage Tea Garden and B&B:
'We
bought Rose Cottage B&B as a business which had been doing
quite nicely for the past 20 years using traditional promotional
routes. The very first thing we did was to ask Tina & Alan
along to set up a page on Wyenot - the results have been incredible.
We
regularly analyse the traffic being directed to our website
www.rose-cottage-symondsyat.com and consistently 75% is generated
by wyenot.com and this is after they have already looked at
our page on Wyenot. We have stopped our subscription to Smooth
Hound and asked Yell.com to remove our ad next year, - the
money saved by doing that would pay for wyenot four times
over (but don't let Alan know).
How
anyone locally can run a business which is not on wyenot beats
me!'

HOW
CAN I GET MY BUSINESS PAGE ON WYENOT?:
|
|
BY SENDING THE FOLLOWING ITEMS TO: 'Wyenot News',
1 Hillview Road, Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire HR9 7EY
- Photos
for use on your page on 'Wyenot' - up to 8 photos
with captions (photos must be landscape - minimum
size 1,000 pixels wide).
- The
text and all contact details that you would like
people to see on your advertising page, including
your web address if applicable.
- Your
cheque for £90 made out to Alan Wood,
if you would like annual renewal.
If you would like to take the £10 monthly option,
please call to arrange setting up a standing order.
PLEASE
NOTE: All advertising pages on Wyenot must follow
exactly the same design (see any of the other advertisement
pages by visiting the accommodation, shops, pubs, dining
and local business pages etc.). I do not vary from this
design, not even at an extra charge as this is one of
the reasons 'Wyenot' is so successful at working for
the local area.
WE
CAN TAKE THE PHOTOS AND WRITE THE TEXT for you but
this is an additional service, which will involve
us visiting your premises. In this instance, an additional
admin charge of £40 will be charged for the first
year's advertising. (Photos taken by 'Wyenot' must NOT
be used by other internet advertising companies, unless
by prior written agreement.)
Your
advertising page will be completed within approximately
two weeks of your payment being cleared, and a receipt
for payment received will be posted to you.
For
further information and for credit card sized advertisements
in 'Wyenot News', please call Alan or Tina on 01989
763217 or email: wyenotnews@googlemail.com

RENEWAL
OF ADVERTISEMENTS:
|
|
An invoice will be sent to you at renewal time,
allowing 28 days for payment.
Non-payment
of renewals: If payment is not made within the 28
days, advertising pages are removed. (We are human,
not mean and we do understand that sometimes, times
can be difficult or you can be away on holiday at renewal
time. If you are having a problem or away at renewal
time, please call to let us know. As long as
you make the effort to call and explain rather than
just hide and hope for the best, we will not deliberately
take down a page if it is a week or so late.)
Reinstating
removed advertisements is a very time consuming
business, so if your ad is removed for reasons
of non-payment and you would like it reinstated, (which
has invariably happened when I have removed pages which
are months overdue) an administration charge of £30
will be added to that year's renewal and the £90
per annum option will no longer be available. You will
only be able to renew by taking up the £10 per
month, standing order option.
We
are sorry for having to introduce this 'non-payment'
thing. Most people who advertise on 'Wyenot' are
aware of the value of those advertisements and are extremely
good when it comes to renewing on time. There are however
others (always the same people) who, without fail, pay
months - often up to three months, late. The money 'Wyenot'
receives from advertisers is ALL the money 'Wyenot'
earns, and if people do not pay on time, we struggle
to pay our bills and for the upkeep of 'Wyenot'. Not
just a little - a lot, and there is little point
in us doing all the work involved in keeping 'Wyenot'
running if everybody is doing well out of it while we
are struggling.

IMPORTANT
NOTE: WYENOT NEVER COLD CALLS
|
|
It
has come to our attention several times of late that some
local businesses have been sold web advertising and that they
have gone ahead, imagining that their advertisement will appear
here - on either 'Wyenot.com' or 'Wyenot News'.
I
would like to make it absolutely clear here that it is the
policy of 'Wyenot.com' and 'Wyenot News' NEVER to telephone
local business looking for advertisers, NEITHER do
we call on businesses in person to try and sell advertising
space.
Wyenot.com
works purely on the principle that those who advertise with
us either find us the same way as those who will read their
advertisement on 'Wyenot' will find them. We rely upon our
reputation and word of mouth recommendation to attract supporters.
If
you have been cold called, either in person or by telephone
and you have taken out an advertisement as a result of that
call - that advertisement will not appear on 'Wyenot'.
The
only two people who have any connection whatsoever with 'Wyenot.com'
and 'Wyenot News' are myself, Alan Wood and my partner, Tina
Jones and we never cold call. If anybody else calls or has
called on you selling advertising space - they are
NOT working for us.
